frequently asked questions
No doubt you will many questions along the way, so just ask! We are more than happy to help.
When will my gown arrive?
Your gown will arrive in approximately 6-7 weeks.
Will my gown be shipped folded up in a small box?
No way!  Your gown will be steamed, put on a bust form and hung protected inside a garment bag before being carefully boxed and shipped to you. You will probably need to have it pressed or steamed again, however. (At least until someone invents a wrinkle-free shipping method!)
Can I cancel my order?
You may cancel any order within 24 hours.  After 24 hours, your order is considered “in fulfillment” with the manufacturer and cannot be cancelled or changed for any reason.  Be sure of the color and size you wish to order beforehand!
What is your return policy?
We do not accept returns.  We do not offer refunds on merchandise.  There will be NO exception to this policy. However, if you are not happy with your item(s) you may exchange within 5 business days of original delivery for a different item(s) of equal value, as a store credit.  Exchanges will be allowed only if: 1.  Customer Service is notified of your intent to exchange via email within  24 hours of delivery.
2.  Merchandise is unworn, unaltered, and in new condition.
3.  Gowns are exchanged for a different style only**.

Please keep in mind if you wish to exchange a gown for a different style, it will take another 6-7 weeks to reorder.  **Exchanges will not be allowed for sizing errors.  You may exchange a gown for a different style, but you may not exchange the same style gown for a different size**  Shipping and handling charges are NOT refundable and return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. We recommend using USPS or UPS with return receipt for your protection.

Give yourself plenty of time and measure correctly—planning your wedding should be a fun experience, not stressful!
What if my gown does not fit?
Measure twice, order once! Most all gowns will need some sort of alteration.  Why?  Because we are all shaped differently!  Have an experienced alterations person in your area tailor your gown to fit your body perfectly.  Exchanges will not be given for a different size, only for a different style.
how do i measure myself to know my size?
One word: DON'T!  Always have someone else measure you!  Ideally, an experienced tailor or alterations specialist is the best.  But a trusty friend can do it for you as well.  Use a sewer’s tape measure.

BUST: THIS IS NOT YOUR BRA SIZE!  Measure the widest part of your back and around the fullest part of your bust with your arms down by your side.  Do not hold your arms out, and do not pull the tape tightly.

WAIST:  Measure the waist around your NATURAL waist (not where we wear our jeans nowadays!)  It is where your waist naturally curves in, above your navel.  The easiest way to find the correct spot is to bend to the side.  The area where you bend is your natural waist.  This is the most important, and most incorrectly taken measurement in determining the correct size.  Do not pull the tape tightly.

HIPS:  Measure the hips around the fullest part of your hip with your heels together.  Keep in mind if you are choosing an A-line skirt, the hip measurement is not quite as important. Do not pull the tape tightly.

Check the size chart and see where your measurements lie.

If your measurements fall in between 2 sizes, it is suggested to order the larger size.  You can always alter a dress smaller, but you cannot always let it out!

Remember, you are measuring your body to choose the closest size to order.  Our gowns are NOT cut to your specific body measurements.

**Again, we will not accept an exchange for the same gown in a different size, only for a different style gown**
I have my measurements but I am uniquely shaped and still unsure of what size to choose!
It’s OK!!  Give us a call and we can help!
Will my gown be too long?  Too short?
Unless you are 5’8” or taller, your gown will probably need to be hemmed by a professional alterations person.  Our gowns are made 61” long, from the hollow of the neck to the hem. The plus side?  If you do want a small train, just have your tailor hem the front of the gown to your desired length, taper the sides, and leave the back length alone.  Instant sweep train!

At this time, our gowns are not available with extra length.
The dress I like does not have a train and I would like a small one.  What can I do?
If you are 5’7” and under, your dress will probably need a hem. If you do want a small train, just have your tailor hem only the front of the gown to your desired length, then taper the sides, and leave the back length alone.  Instant sweep train!
Do I have to pay sales tax?
There is no charge for sales tax on orders shipped outside the state of Tennessee.  Tennessee customers are charged 9.25% sales tax.
Will my email address and other information be sold or given to those dreadful spammers?
NEVER!  Your info stays right here.  (We hate dreadful spammers too!)
